The Club Jubilee One Aquatic Centre in Melbourne is an outstanding work of architecture. As part of the project‘s acoustic design, Wood & Grieve Engineers specified acoustic louvres to the plant room areas.
Builders McCorkell Constructions required a supplier that could provide a complete supply and installation service for the acoustic louvres, which had to comply with specifications while complementing the architect’s vision for the project.
The builders engaged the Flexshield team to manufacture and install an acoustic louvre solution for the Club Jubilee.
Due to post-tender design changes, the final construction of the acoustic louvres had to be completed with a limited lead time. This wasn’t a problem for the Flexshield team, thanks to our lean manufacturing processes and efficient project management. Flexshield was the only supplier the builder could find with the skill to meet these requirements.
The Flexshield team selected standard acoustic louvres from our Sonic Series range to match the acoustic performance specified by the acoustic report. Our manufacturing and project teams were then able to work with the builder to ensure seamless delivery of the project.
Flexshield completed the manufacture and installation of the Sonic 600, 300 and 150 Series acoustic louvres, ensuring they were powder coated to the architect’s specifications. The custom-designed acoustic louvre module was tailored to suit the project’s requirements, including different opening sizes and shapes, custom sections to make way for a downpipe, and other specific conditions.
Flexshield demonstrated our ability to deliver tailor-made acoustic louvres for construction projects on time and on budget.
