Weldflex™ welding sheet curtains provide a permanent barrier between welding work areas, helping protect surrounding students, teachers and equipment from welding flash and sparks.
The semi-transparent PVC sheet curtain design creates clearly defined welding bays while supporting teacher supervision and workshop organisation.
Weldflex™ welding sheet curtains can be supplied as a standalone product or incorporated into a Complete acoustic welding bay, depending on the requirements of your Trade Training Centre project. Whether you’re upgrading existing welding bays or planning a new workshop, they provide a practical way to create dedicated welding areas that can adapt as teaching requirements change.
Optional Integrated Components
Every Trade Training Centre is different. Weldflex™ welding sheet curtains are configured around the workshop rather than supplied as a fixed package, allowing installations from a single welding bay through to complete Trade Training Centre workshops.
Weldflex™ welding sheet curtains are manufactured using products supported by recognised testing and quality management standards.
Documentation is available to support specification and procurement, including recognised AS/NZS standards where applicable, NATA-accredited testing where applicable, ISO 9001 Quality Management, ISO 14001 Environmental Management, AS4801 Occupational Health and Safety and supporting technical documentation.
Copy and amend the schedule below to suit your project requirements.

Weldflex™ sheet curtains create a defined barrier between welding work areas and can be supplied in fixed or modular configurations. Weldflex™ strip curtains use individual flexible PVC strips to allow access between work areas. The appropriate product depends on the workshop layout, access requirements and intended application.
Yes. Weldflex™ sheet curtains can be configured for new workshops, upgrades and replacement projects. Standard and custom screen dimensions, along with fixed or modular arrangements, allow the installation to be planned around the available space and teaching requirements. Flexshield can assist with product selection and workshop planning.
Weldflex™ sheet curtains can incorporate swing access panels and observation windows where required. These options can be considered during workshop planning to provide access to designated welding areas and support teacher supervision. The final configuration depends on the workshop layout and project requirements.
Project teams should identify the installation location, required screen height and length, quantity and whether a support framework is required. The specification schedule also allows you to indicate whether the product is required as a standalone installation or as part of a Complete acoustic welding bay, along with supply-only or supply and installation preferences. Flexshield can assist with specification documentation.
Weldflex™ sheet curtains are manufactured using AS/NZS 3957-complying welding screen material. Supporting documentation includes applicable testing information for welding flash protection, UV resistance, fire retardancy and material durability. Product data sheets, detailed test reports and supporting technical documentation are available on request.
