SonicClear 4mm strip curtain attenuation test report

Download the RMIT University laboratory test report for the Flexshield SonicClear 4mm strip curtain to review airborne transmission loss and Weighted Sound Reduction Index data for a 120mm overlap configuration.

What you’ll find in the report

  • Airborne transmission loss results from 100Hz to 5000Hz
  • A Weighted Sound Reduction Index of Rw 19
  • Spectrum adaptation terms of C 0dB and Ctr -1dB
  • Test data for 400mm wide, 4mm thick SonicClear panels with 120mm overlaps
  • One-third octave band transmission loss data and the Rw reference curve
  • Testing completed in accordance with AS 1191-2002
  • Rw determined in accordance with AS/NZS ISO 717.1-2004
  • Testing completed by RMIT University’s NATA-accredited Applied Acoustics Laboratory

The report documents laboratory testing of a 4mm SonicClear strip curtain configuration using 400mm wide panels with 120mm overlaps, mounted on a 500 Series Acoustic Track. The tested panels had a nominal surface density of 4.88kg/m².

The tested curtain achieved Rw (C;Ctr) = 19(0;-1), with measured transmission loss results provided across frequencies from 100Hz to 5000Hz.
